The Glenfiddich distillery has two houses which still ten wash stills and twintg spirit stills are. The twenty-four washbacks of Oregon pine. There are even two mash tuns used here and is used primarily for aging bourbon barrels and about 10% sherry casks. The vessels are repaired in own cooperage and there is also a coppersmith employed to create new and maintain the old stills. Glenfiddich draws its water for the production of whiskey from a water source ie the Robbie Dubh, meaning "Black Robert" and means to cool the condensers are used water from the river Fiddich.
