The 2008 vintage has provided us with quality components to blend our prestigious style of Stoneleigh Rapaura Series Pinot Noir. The combination of lighter crops, periodic summer rain and a healthy canopy going into autumn has allowed me to hang the fruit on a little later to reach maximum flavour intensity. Six clones of Pinot Noir were selected from our Stoneleigh Rapaura Road vineyard to be hand harvested, fermented and matured in French oak for twelve months. I was then able to blend between clones, oak type and age, to produce this truly integrated Stoneleigh Rapaura Series Pinot Noir.
