Grown in the Gimblett Gravels sub-region from vineyards that were chosen for their low cropping vines giving fruit with tremendous fruit intensity and maturity. The wine was then 100% barrel aged in French oak for 9 months, giving optimum mouth feel and complexity. Aromas of almond and stone fruits with hints of toast and citrus peel. Like the gold medal winning 2009 and 2010 wines, it is a fine finish and great persistence.
